SEO is flurishing b/c its VERY easy for a company to say - "Why aren't we at the top of Google - let's throw money at the problem!". And also easy to have a cold call, "Hello Company X. We've done market studies (read Searched for 'Company X's business' in google), and see that you are in position Y in google. Wouldn't you like to be #1?" - Which we've gotten!

Aside from that, I DO have a copy of "Search Engine Visibility", but I haven't read it yet.

Wow... I was supposed to start my thing this morning... I just can't get up on monday morning, it kills me!
I stay up until like 1am on sunday night - so I can't get any sleep...
I'm going to the gym tonight, I gotta figure out what I'm doing...

My sister's birthday is tomorrow (7/25), and I need to go to the mall and get her the gift she wants.
She's going on an ECO adventure for her "Ultimate Black Belt Test" (over a year long test that includes a TON of stuff). Here's one of the things she wants... Lemme call the mall and see if they have it: Water Filter.

Alright - its the saturday before I start my new "cycle" (I really gotta come up with a good term for this thing I'm undertaking).
I just weighed myself- 167lbs! I did the bf% test at Health Central, and here's what I got: 14%. Woohoo..

Ok, well its thursday...
I've decided how I'm going to break down the 12-week challenge. I'm going to have only one or two Major goals for the whole time. However I will have weekly goals (i.e. Run a whole mile non-stop, then in a few weeks, run a mile non-stop in under 9:30, etc). This lets me:
  1. Alter goals as I change (i.e. how can I know NOW where I'll be in 6 weeks)
  2. Lets me meet goals and get more "positive feedback"
I will weigh myself every week - along with two or three methods of bf%. I will also be taking two pictures every week - front and side, with 'notes' (flickr) with all info - waist size, hips, bicep, weight...

I think I'm going to start next monday... maybe sunday.. We'll see.

I also need a good image editor, I uninstalled PSP on my windows (in vmware) to free up some space.

Trust me, I know its a bad Idea to talk about stuff like this on here. My boss could VERY easily find this blog, and be really pissed about my feelings - but I guess I'm passive aggresive.

in any event - I really need a break. I just can't take this office anymore. I want to take 3 months and just work out non-stop. Maybe no computers... maybe computers, but only working on projects I want to (Like mozilla extensions - they're fun, but VERY hard [and not in a challening way, in a - damn this should be eaiser way]).

I would also like to take 6 months and go do GeekCorps or something.

Oh well. Just needed to get that off my chest...

Oh, I also made a mozilla/firefox ext for posting to del.icio.us quickly, I'll add a link when mozillazine hosts it.

I'm a sad sad man.
I know its a shocker to all of you - but I'm not going to start my 12 "thing" this week.
I know, I've let you all down... you all were dying to see how it turned out... but honestly, my hearts not in it yet... I really think I need a week to "prepare"... I want one week where I don't care what I eat... I don't care how hard I work out (I will still work out though, if I don't, I'm a bastard at work)... In short, I need a break. I've been at this pretty much non-stop since 4/1, and in that time, I've changed my mind so many times a bout how I was going to do it, what my goals were, etc etc.
So, basically, I'm going to just chill for a little bit :)....

Why why why?
Brant's recent loses, along with that poor 16yrold in brick really hit me kinda hard.
It makes you think about death and loss, and unfufilled dreams. Makes me want my dreams so much more. But to get there, I have to work harder....
Like tonight, I'm going to go to the gym, then I'm gonna eat pizza hut.... thats not gonna get me closer to my goals.. at all.

Oh well...
Wow, I'm a big fat dissapointment.
I missed the workout this morning (Took a zyrtec last night). And I missed one yesterday.
My "day off" was supposed to be Friday but it looks like sunday it is.

I did however get my stretches in yesterday :)

a 12 week goal!
Ok, Well I'm about 15 weeks into my inital work, I started around 4/1.
So far I've lost about 15lbs, but I'm not satisifed.
I've started a flickr account for pictures.
I will be taking a picture, weighing and doing bf% once every two weeks.
So here is the deal. I'm going to work for 12 weeks. Here we go:
Stats:
  • 170lbs
  • 13-15% bf
  • ~ 25lbs fat
  • 18 pushups non-stop
Goals:
  • Lost 10lbs of fat
  • Be able to do 40 pushups non-stop
  • Be able to do 3 good pullups.
Plan of attack:
  • Lift 3x a week
  • HIIT cardio 3x a week
  • A week is Saturday-Friday
